I recently found an iPad 64gb and have been playing with it. I was curious as to what drawing programs were out there. While I wish there was pressure sensitivity, the one thing that was most difficult was using the finger. Obviously I needed a stylus. I’ve tried the foam Pogo stylus on my iPod touch before but was not a fan of it. So after one recommendation I did try the Acase which was under 10 dollars at the time I bought it off Amazon – http://amzn.com/B004O9A8FU
While it’s fairly responsive and glides rather well, I was still curious if there was better.
I also at that time bought 2 stylus pens from a company called iFaraday – http://ifaraday.com/ I found these interesting.
I do like the iFaraday ones. I had purchased 2 to see how they performed.
The firmer feel one is in blue, and the regular dome for artists was in black. The responsiveness of the black one is amazing. I can use a feather touch and get a response. The blue one takes a bit more work but doesn’t feel streaky.
The above shows you how they arrived. The iFaraday were in test tubes, which was pretty cute. There was foam inside the tube at the bottom to keep the tip safe.
Here you can see the size difference between the iFaraday and Acase.
You can see how the tips look here. Acase is a rubber tip and iFaraday is cloth
Here are the two tips of iFaraday. The black one has great responsiveness to the lightest touch while the blue one has a firmer feel.
Both were the same price of $14-15 dollars so they’re comparable in price to other stylus since Acase is almost the same price when not on sale.

I received my dvd for Corel Painter 12 when I beta tested the program.
I really wish I got the can because I love that artist on the cover of it and it would go with my Painter 6 can.
I was happy to test the product and will be willing to do so again. Gotta work on art so I can be one of those Painter contributors.

I saw some stickers on the bus and a post on CG Hub and felt inspired to do it. I don’t consider it finished because I am going to redo the perspective of the head. I picked up a few urban photoshop brushes and used it for the bottom. The sketch was done in Sketchbook Pro.
All of it done on a tablet PC LE1600

I haven’t been on because I am working full time again, but I also need to move files off a laptop and onto a PC.
I’ve always been painting on my laptop and Painter’s CPU bug is finally catching up to this laptop (not to mention it has been on quite a lot of late).
I originally was going to just buy a PC but it was suggested I’m smart enough to build my own.
I was given this processor thanks to Fossil: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Extreme-Quad-Core-Processor-1333MHz/dp/B000YQOHM2/
The rest was money from family and what I had saved.
The build consists of the following:
1 Lite On Blu Ray/DVD/CD Rom (reader only)
1 Samsung Lightscribe DVD/CD rom burner
1 500gb Blue Caviar WD drive
1 TB Green WD Drive
4 x2gb of OCZ Platinum DDR3 RAM (8gb)
1 Zalman 9700LED CPU cooler
1 Nvidia 220GT geforce video card (this will change to a Quadro 512gb DDR3 since it’s mostly for PS and 3d Work)
Gigabyte Mother board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128371
3 Coolmaster BLUE LED Fans
Apevia Warlock 750W PSU
Antec 300 Case
Unfortunately, I cannot find my other camera, so deal with my mediocre cell phone pics. I think I need to clean up the cables a bit, some I can’t help like the Sata Bracket, and 4pin ATX cable up top – the casing of the Mobo and Zalman makes it difficult to set it (plus the cable is just long enough to reach). I’m not into dremeling the case (nor have the space or room) so forget it.
- Side view with fan
- First Inside shot
- Lights Inside
- Some of the side where the hdds lie
- Mostly blue!

Video should work now.
The PC was really made to be my video encoding and art pc. It’s not a gaming PC. I admit I liked doing this, after I move I may end up building more PCs, *nerdgasms* It’s mostly for a future art studio I’m working on.
