Not sure what to say about this. I was getting frustrated in Open Canvas and wanted to learn how to paint better. I started trying to sketch out stuff and thought…”you know I never really tried painting a skeleton…”
So I took some references from the book The Nude Figure and started painting them. I stopped trying to do preliminary sketches and just tried painting in the figure to see how far I got.
Then it was just a matter of refining things.
I needed few more males, so I added another and I got a hairy one to add
…and going…
And below is it’s current state until I decide to finish it:
I plan on trying to fill the page up with as many figures as possible, and finish the skeleton referenced from Albinus on Anatomy. I also want to do a page of figure studies completely from the mind in a similar manner.
If you’d like to see the last saved Open Canvas event file – you can find it here.
